The Opportunity
The Accounts Payable Clerk is responsible for performing accounting and clerical tasks related to the efficient maintenance and processing of accounts payable transactions. This role ensures accurate and timely entry of vendor invoices, maintains vendor records, and supports the Finance department with general accounting tasks.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
•Process high-volume vendor invoices for goods and services in a timely and accurate manner.
•Match invoices to purchase orders and receiving documentation.
•Ensure correct general ledger coding and obtain proper approvals for non-PO invoices.
•Research and resolve discrepancies or invoice issues with internal departments and vendors.
•Prepare and process weekly check runs, ACH, and wire payments.
•Maintain and update vendor files, including W-9s and payment terms.
•Respond to vendor inquiries and reconcile vendor statements.
•Assist with month-end closing tasks and provide support during audits.
•Pick up, sort, open and distribute mail to proper party.
•Maintain confidentiality of all financial data and company information.
•Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Skills & Attributes
•Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
•Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting ERP software. Proficient in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is a plus.
•Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
•Proactive and critical thinking i.e., ability to analyze information, solve problems and anticipate needs.
•Strong communication skills and ability to professionally interact with vendors and internal departments.
Requirements
Minimum Requirements
Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of accounts payable or general accounting experience.
Work Environment
This is an onsite position, located at the posted Terminal
Physical Requirements:
•Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer (if applicable).
•Frequent walking throughout the facility and between departments as part of daily operational tasks (if applicable).
•Ability to lift and/or move up to 20-25 pounds.
•Ability to navigate each department and the company's facilities as needed.

Salary Description
$20.00 - $24.00
