Initially, you will start as a financial representative focused on client acquisition and obtaining necessary licenses. Our award-winning training programs equip you with the skills and education needed to succeed in building a financial planning practice focused on investments, insurance, and annuities. Northwestern Mutuals proprietary planning software helps you educate clients and deliver comprehensive financial strategies.

As a business owner, you can shape your workday around your life and achieve uncapped earning potential through a performance-based compensation structure. We support various practice models, including opening your own office, joining a team, or becoming an advanced advisor.

We are committed to your ongoing training and development, especially during your first three years, with access to industry experts, client acquisition strategies, and mentorship from experienced advisors.

To qualify, you must obtain licenses including Life/Accident & Health, Securities Industry Essentials (SIE), and Series 6, 7, and 63. Northwestern Mutual offers reimbursement for course fees and books.

Compensation includes:

  • Average annual earnings of $61K-$119K for new advisors, with top performers earning $137K-$250K.
  • Additional income support during training and early development.
  • Renewal income for ongoing client support.
  • Bonuses, expense allowances, and support for licensing exams.
  • Company-funded retirement, medical, vision, dental, life, and disability insurance.
