KBW has partnered with a growing company in Portland, Maine, seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join their team. This role involves managing day-to-day accounting functions such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, and other general bookkeeping responsibilities. It is a new position created to support recent client growth, requiring strong AP/AR or relevant bookkeeping experience.

Responsibilities for the Bookkeeper Position
  • Manage full cycle accounts payable and receivable invoice processing
  • Process invoices, payments, and bank deposits
  • Reconcile bank and credit card statements
  • Maintain the general ledger with journal entries
  • Ensure records are accurate and current
  • Assist with ad hoc accounting and administrative tasks as needed
Qualifications
  • 2+ years of relevant bookkeeping or accounts payable/receivable experience
  • Proficient in QuickBooks Desktop, QuickBooks Online, or similar software
  • Intermediate Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs
  • Ability to manage time effectively and work independently
Pay

$20.00 - $25.00 per hour
