We are seeking an Accounting Specialist for our Fredericksburg location, preferably with experience in industrial, service, or sales environments.
Job Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly and annual financial statements, coordinate with year-end auditors.
- Reconcile corporate bank accounts and serve as secondary approver.
- Manage internal service order costing and data adjustments.
- Verify intercompany inventory POs and invoice pricing.
- Verify and code incoming duty and airfreight bills related to inventory.
- Manage fixed assets, including additions, disposals, and depreciation.
- File personal property returns across jurisdictions and verify tax bills.
- Handle journal entries, deferred revenue, lease accruals, and monthly reoccurring transactions.
- Process warranty claims and monthly adjustments.
- Review general ledger transactions for discrepancies and errors.
- Maintain attention to detail, multi-task efficiently, and proactively solve problems.
- Follow all applicable procedures and work instructions related to quality and environmental systems.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the manager.
Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting preferred; an Associate Degree plus 3-5 years of experience acceptable.
- Excellent verbal and written English skills.
- Basic proficiency in G-Suite; SAP experience preferred.
- Regular physical presence at the worksite required.
