Description
The Purchasing Buyer is responsible assist the Material Team with assigned projects, issuing and evaluating RFQs, commercial issues and negotiation, cost reduction opportunities and overall supplier management such as supply and delivery issues. Preference for candidates who are bi-lingual in Korean.
Requirements
(Purchasing):

  1. Establishes new car sourcing plan and leads sourcing events.
  2. Reviews legal documentations such as RFQs, LOIs, Term and conditions and develops such documentations according to Mobis Policy and make contracts with suppliers.
  3. Review and analyze and clarify quote packages from suppliers.
  4. Create detailed price breakdown for each product and process in system for approval.
  5. Reviews legal documentations such as RFQs, LOIs, term and conditions and develops such documentations according to MOBIS Policy.
  6. Research potential suppliers and find, develop, coordinate suppliers, as necessary.
  7. Conducts cost analysis for parts, tooling, and any supplier expenses and negotiates price with suppliers.
  8. Process payments of direct and indirect material.
  9. Logistics Management, including shipment quoting, tracking and payment.
  10. Review Tariff impacts and provide detailed reporting.
(Project Management)
  1. Conducts detailed project plans, tactical execution, schedules, and cost estimates each part project.
  2. Maintains strong relationship with suppliers, internal and external customers including the Sales Managers to ensure on time program deliverables.
  3. Collects and summarizes documents from suppliers and support HQ, Sales, and Customer request (Supplier Management)
  4. Leads suppliers to meet the quality and time requirement during project and program.
  5. Respond to supply shortages for supplier-related issues.
  6. Conducts Value engineering for any cost savings.
  7. Other tasks as assigned by management.

Education / Skill / Experience Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent industry-specific experience required.
  • 3+ years of experience in Procurement role within a manufacturing/automotive industry
  • Preference for working experience with Stellantis.
  • Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering or supply chain management.
  • Experienced in automotive assembly/manufacturing.
  • Powerful sense of responsibility and follow-up.
  • Korean language skill to communicate with headquarters in Korea.
  • Intermediate written and verbal communication skills
  • Intermediate level Microsoft Office such as Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook skill
  • Experience in tariffs and international shipping/receiving.
