Quincy Management, a commercial property management company based in Downtown Corpus Christi, is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Senior Accountant to join and lead our accounting team. This pivotal role requires a licensed CPA with strong expertise in non-profit, real estate, agriculture, and oil & gas accounting, who can provide high-level financial leadership and guide the companys financial strategy, compliance, and operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the accounting team with full oversight of all financial operations including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and financial reporting.
- Develop and execute financial strategies aligned with company goals across diverse sectors including non-profit, real estate, agriculture, and oil & gas.
- Prepare, analyze, and present accurate financial statements and reports to executive leadership and stakeholders.
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and variance analysis to inform strategic decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and industry-specific accounting standards.
- Manage audits and coordinate with external auditors and regulatory bodies.
- Implement and continuously improve internal controls, financial policies, and procedures.
- Collaborate closely with executive management to provide financial insights and recommendations that drive business growth.
- Mentor and develop the accounting team, fostering a culture of accountability, accuracy, and professional growth.
- Stay abreast of changes in accounting standards, tax laws, and industry trends impacting the companys financial health.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Masters degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive accounting experience, including senior leadership roles, preferably in non-profit, real estate, agriculture, and oil & gas sectors.
- Demonstrated experience in financial strategy development, budget management, and executive financial reporting.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proficient with accounting and financial management software.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Full-time, exempt position.
