Insightful Talent is supporting a client in their search for their next Tax Accountant! In this role you will maintain records of financial transactions by establishing accounts, posting transactions and generating financial statements for multiple clients in various industries.

What youll be doing:

• Stay current with designations and able to professionally respond to client notices from government agencies.
• Prepare, examine, and analyze accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.
• Analyze business operations, trends, cost, revenues, financial commitments and obligations, to project future revenues and expenses or to provide advice.
• Comply with federal, state and local legal requirements, by studying requirements, enforcing adherence to, filing reports, and advising management on needed actions.
• Prepare and review income tax returns.
• Maintain records of financial transactions by establishing accounts, posting transactions and generating financial statements for multiple clients in various industries.
• Assist clients with bookkeeping (monthly, quarterly and annually).
• Prepare and process payrolls.
• Balance subsidiary accounts by reconciling entries.
• Prepare financial information for year-end income tax returns.
• Complete administrative and other client related tasks. Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

What you need to bring:

• Bachelors degree in accounting, finance or related business degree.
• 3-5 years' experience working with clients and preparing tax returns.
• Have a designation of CPA or EA.
• Must have knowledge of Sage and QuickBooks accounting software.
• Knowledge and experience with Thomson Reuters CS, Ultra-Tax preferred.
• Must be organized and have strong interpersonal skills.
