Strategic Responsibility

Job Description
Prepare and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy, transparency, and compliance with ministry standards. Provide regular financial reports and dashboards to senior leadership, highlighting key insights and actionable recommendations.
Lead the annual budgeting process, collaborating with department heads to align financial resources with ministry priorities. Develop and maintain financial forecasts, identifying trends and variances to inform strategic decisions.
Partner with leadership to develop long-term financial strategies that support the ministrys vision and mission. Evaluate the financial implications of new initiatives, programs, or projects.
Ensure proper allocation and tracking of donor-restricted funds. Provide financial reporting and impact analysis for major donors and stakeholders.
Develop and enforce financial policies and procedures to ensure accountability and stewardship. Collaborate with auditors to facilitate annual audits and maintain compliance with regulatory standards.
Mentor and support finance team members, fostering professional growth and development. Promote a collaborative and Christ-centered team culture.
Conduct cost-benefit analyses for ministry initiatives, recommending ways to optimize financial efficiency. Monitor program costs to ensure alignment with approved budgets.
Identify and assess financial risks, proposing strategies to mitigate them. Ensure sufficient liquidity for ministry operations while maintaining long-term financial stability.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Position Requirements
Formal Education: Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field is required. A Masters degree in Finance, Business Administration (MBA), or related discipline is preferred.
Experience: 5+ years of progressive experience in financial analysis, budgeting, or strategic planning, preferably in a non-profit or ministry setting. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. High degree of integrity, discretion, and commitment to the ministrys mission and values. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively.
Specialized Knowledge/Certification: CPA, CMA, CFA, or other relevant certification preferred. Strong understanding of financial planning, analysis, and reporting. Familiarity with non-profit accounting standards (e.g., GAAP for non-profits) is a plus.
Equipment Knowledge: PC Computers and general office equipment. Proficiency in financial reporting and planning software. Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including financial modeling, pivot tables, and data analysis. Familiarity with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems and reporting tools
