Description
We are looking for a highly skilled Marketing Automation Specialist to join our team on a long-term remote contract role. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in restoring and optimizing our eCommerce operations following a recent site migration. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise, a proactive approach, and a proven ability to troubleshoot and enhance platform functionality while driving impactful digital marketing initiatives.
Responsibilities:
Serve as the primary expert on the Miva eCommerce platform, handling integrations, licenses, and resolving technical issues stemming from the recent migration.
Diagnose and address critical problems within the checkout process and overall site performance to restore seamless functionality.
Act as a liaison with third-party development teams, ensuring accountability and adherence to platform standards.
Resolve data flow inconsistencies by troubleshooting MailChimp integrations and improving marketing automation processes.
Conduct an audit of SEO performance post-migration, implementing strategies to recover organic search rankings and enhance visibility.
Collaborate with future creative and UX hires to ensure technical and content-based SEO best practices are followed.
Analyze traffic trends and develop actionable strategies to recover and grow site engagement.
Communicate solutions and updates effectively to stakeholders, translating technical challenges into clear insights for non-technical audiences.
Manage relationships with internal teams and external vendors, ensuring alignment and progress toward goals.
Requirements
Minimum of 5 years of experience in Digital Marketing, Marketing Automation, and eCommerce.
Hands-on expertise with the Miva platform is required; experience with Shopify or BigCommerce is a plus.
Strong troubleshooting skills, particularly in resolving issues related to platform migrations, checkout funnels, and data integrations.
Proven knowledge of SEO best practices, including technical and content-driven strategies, with a track record of recovery success.
Proficiency in Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Google Ads, and other digital marketing tools.
Ability to hold vendors accountable and perform effectively in high-pressure situations.
Bonus: Familiarity with UX/UI principles to support customer journey enhancements and navigation improvements.
