We are seeking a team player with a positive attitude and the highest level of personal integrity to join our taxteam as aSenior Tax Associate.In this role, you are responsible for playing a key role in client engagements by establishing a personal and direct working relationship with clients.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Prepare and Review complex Individual and Business tax returns and projections for local and nationwide business owners and high net worth clients.

  • Collaborate with tax, business advisory team, and financial advisors to create integrated planning opportunities for small to medium size business owners and high net worth clients.

  • Research, analyze, and resolve a wide range of tax issues.

  • Communicate with clients to request data, respond to questions, and participate in client meetings as a support role for the lead advisor.

  • Assisting with the creation of presentations discussing tax planning opportunities for clients.

  • Analyzing various business structures and their tax implications to help provide comprehensive tax services.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Bachelors Degree with concentration in accounting or related field -required

  • 3+ tax seasons in public accounting -required

  • Experience using Thomson Reuters CS Professional Suite (UltraTax) - preferred

  • Master at Microsoft Excel, providing clear outputs for analysis and comprehension - preferred

  • Be a strong team player, providing superior service for all that we do, taking complete ownership of even the smallest task

  • Keen, consistent attention to detail

  • Proven ability to independently analytically solve issues both proactively and reactively

  • Effective at managing various projects and taking them to completion by firm deadlines

  • Adaptable to evolving processes

  • Client-centric mindset

  • Familiarity with basic accounting principles, financial statements, and bookkeeping methods

  • The ability to clearly explain complex tax concepts to clients and communicate effectively with tax authorities

  • The capacity to analyze financial situations, identify potential issues, and develop solutions.
