The LVN's primary responsibility is to provide effective clinical services, behavioral health, and physical care to clients of the Urgent Care Center. This includes psychiatric, medical, and pharmacy services; assisting with medical, behavioral health, and pharmacy services for the Residential Urgent Diversion Unit; establishing and maintaining effective relations with clients, families, and the community; and ensuring a safe, comfortable, non-institutional environment. Services must be safe, helpful, and reflect Social Rehabilitation principles. Basic Job Skills:

Provide direct behavioral and nursing care services. Perform nursing procedures such as administering medications, treatments, injections, and vital signs within scope. Participate in treatment planning with an interdisciplinary team. Respond to emergencies with appropriate interventions. Supervise clients with special precautions, including suicide risks or self-injurious behavior. Conduct custody tasks like escorting clients and searching for contraband, applying knowledge in managing assaultive behavior. Qualifications:

Graduation from an accredited LVN or LPT program. Current license from the Board of Vocational Nursing and/or Psychiatric Technicians. Effective communication skills, basic computer skills, and ability to work proficiently with information systems. Must have a valid California driver’s license, own vehicle with insurance, and be insurable under current auto policies.
