Position: HR Business Partner

Location: Hybrid, Norwalk, CT (in office & Regional Site Support as needed)

What do we need?

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive HR Business Partner who will support the execution of HR strategy, employee relations, policy implementation, compliance, and organizational effectiveness Company-wide. This role will report directly to the Corporate Human Resources Manager and collaborate closely with senior leaders and department managers to drive initiatives that enhance workforce performance, ensure legal and policy compliance, and foster a culture of continuous improvement and engagement.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Serve as a trusted advisor to department heads and operational leaders on HR strategy, organizational structure, and workforce planning.

• Support employee relations efforts including conflict resolution, policy interpretation, disciplinary guidance, and investigations.

• Ensure consistent application of company policies, procedures, and practices across all locations.

• Support the implementation of performance management processes, coaching leaders on goal setting, feedback, and development planning.

• Support employee engagement efforts, including surveys, focus groups, and follow-up action planning.

• Manage onboarding new employees into the ADP system.

• Assist in administration of employee benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave policies.

• Analyze HR data and trends to recommend solutions, programs, or policy adjustments to support organizational goals.

• Partner with legal and compliance teams to ensure adherence to federal, state (CT, FL, MO, NE, NJ, NY primarily), and local employment regulations.

• Collaborate with Learning & Development to support training initiatives and career pathing programs.

• Help drive DEI initiatives and support programs that promote a positive, inclusive work environment.

• Assist in the development and maintenance of HR policies, handbooks, and procedures.

• Participate in strategic HR projects, including system implementations, policy audits, and benefits education.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

General Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (preferred).

• 4+ years of progressive HR experience, preferably in a multi-site or service-based organization.

• Strong knowledge of state and federal labor laws and HR compliance standards, preferably to include CT, FL, MO, NE, NJ, and NY.

• Demonstrated success in employee relations, HR policy, and organizational development.

• Excellent interpersonal, coaching, and consulting skills; able to build relationships across levels.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to use data to inform decisions.

• Strong knowledge of, and experience with, HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with ADP Workforce Now and Time and Attendance.

• High attention to detail with strong organizational and analytical skills.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
