Essential Job Duties:
Perform welding fabrication including layout and design, and repair of mild steel, stainless steel and aluminum. Must be proficient with MIG, TIG, Stick, cutting torches, grinders, drills, and working with metal, pipe, and flat iron Perform regular preventative maintenance and emergency/unscheduled repairs on plant facilities, equipment, and machinery including pumps, gearboxes, augers, grinders, mixers, conveyors, filling machines and sealers Assemble, install and/or repair electrical on three phase and single phase circuitry Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions Replace or repair defective equipment and parts Perform minor building repair and upkeep Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogs as necessary Inspect, operate, and test plant facilities, equipment, and machinery Procure and maintain an optimum inventory of spare parts, tools, and supplies adequately organized in storage Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery Ability to be fit tested and don a mask Maintain a clean and safe working environment Other duties as assigned by supervisor Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
Reliable presence and promptness on premises Ability to communicate with Supervisors, Associates, and Contractors for work projects Project management including task sequencing, resource management, scheduling, Specialty Skills such as welding, carpentry, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, etc. Researching information Decision-making and problem-solving Performing general physical activities, handling and moving objects Able to work well with other and organize own activities Complete all jobs with a sense of urgency and cooperation with others Exhibit superior safety practices every day evidenced by outstanding housekeeping at all times Exercise maximum care to protect the environment by fostering and supporting responsible operating procedures Embrace and drive constant improvement Extend treatment to all other employees of the Company as individuals with the courtesy and dignity shown to customers Exceed customer quality and service expectations through attention to detail Listen to others’ ideas and pursue personal and company growth with passion Pursue ways to increase your qualifications and experience Find ways to help others without lessening your performance
