Provide system administration support for Linux operating systems including installing software, applying patches, managing file systems, monitoring performance, and troubleshooting alerts from monitoring tools. Analyze and resolve problems associated with the operating system, servers, hardware, and applications software. Detect, diagnose, and report related problems on servers, including system failure analysis and recovery, ensuring the consistency and integrity of file systems. Possess in-depth hardware configuration knowledge, shell programming expertise, and a solid understanding of standard concepts, practices, and procedures. Use experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals, perform a variety of tasks, and work under general supervision. Monitor interface programs between multiple enterprise systems daily; review logs and ensure successful completion. Perform incremental and full cold backups/patching. Ensure compliance with DoD Linux Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs). Provide performance metrics and usage charts, including CPU, disk, and network uptime for Linux Servers. Manage maintenance, upgrades, and new server installations; coordinate with data center personnel. Document and develop business processes for support procedures. Install, test, and verify Linux Security patches; coordinate and document requirements and timelines, working closely with service owners. Administer system security functions, including creating and maintaining customer profiles and accounts. Create and maintain standard operating procedures for Linux documentation. Implement, configure, update, and maintain Ansible and STIG Manager servers and scripts. Configure and maintain the Linux operating system firewall. Handle NFS, CIFS, and SMB permissions. WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

Education/Equivalent Training:

High school diploma or AA. Preferred - Bachelor’s degree in IT, computer science, or related field, or equivalent experience. Required Experience:

10+ years managing RHEL 7 and RHEL 8 servers. Technical Skills: Experience with RHEL 7 and RHEL 8 Linux servers Expertise in Linux administration and best practices Familiarity with enterprise network architectures Experience with automated configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef, etc.) Scripting skills (Bash, Ruby, Python, Perl, etc.) Understanding of Linux internals and TCP/IP protocols Experience with PowerShell scripting Additional qualities include problem-solving, dependability, customer service experience, excellent communication and documentation skills, teamwork, adaptability, and leadership capabilities. Certification Requirements:

Must possess baseline certifications for DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II (Security+) and RHEL 7/8. Security Clearance Level Requirements:

Active Secret clearance required at interview; must maintain clearance. Location & Travel:

Falls Church, VA; 3 days onsite, up to 2 days telework. Up to 10% travel. Salary & Benefits:
