Overview

General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems (GD-OTS), a premier provider to the US Department of Defense and allied nations, is seeking a

Senior Procurement Specialist , with experience in the defense/aerospace industry, to join in our Sonoma County or Folsom, California office. The Senior Procurement Specialist

negotiates favorable terms, volume discounts and long-term contracts with suppliers and prepares

and processes requisitions and purchase orders for the procurement of goods, services and

supplies for customer-related business processes or for internal use as a generalist or in a

combination of Purchasing Disciplines. The ideal candidate for this role will have

familiarity with ITAR, CPSR, DFAR & FAR regulations or other Government/Defense supply chain experience.

This can be a hybrid or full-time on-site position. We are committed to supporting the mission of the warfighter. Major Position Responsibilities

Develops and executes sourcing strategy, evaluates product offerings, recommends

suppliers, and negotiates contracts for assigned categories or departments.

Gathers business requirements and identifies and pre-qualifies potential suppliers. Develops and distributes RFPs/RFQs and collects bids or other information. Evaluates proposals/quotes based on offering quality, cost, or other criteria and recommends

suppliers that are best suited to meet the organization's requirements. Works with selected suppliers to develop mutually acceptable contractual agreements. May oversee tactical purchasing operations, such as the issuance of purchase orders or the

payment of invoices. Ensures that all procurement activities comply with internal policies and external regulations.

Basic Qualifications

Associates Degree Bachelor's Degree preferred Equivalent combination of relevant education &/or experience 5 - 7 years of experience Ability to work as part of a team Decision-making skills Oral and written communication skills Analystical thinking skills Detail oriented Ability to meet deadlines Proficient in Microsoft Office #LI-EK1

Pay Range (USD)

$84,854 - $157,586 annually

Additional Compensation

Hired applicant may be eligible to participate in the Company's Gain Sharing Program.
