We are looking to add a Buyer/Planner to our team in Englewood, CO.
The following information provides an overview of the skills, qualities, and qualifications needed for this role.
Responsibilities Support Procurement and Supply Chain purchase order (PO) process Manage PO Process Ensure supplier trade agreements are updated as required Assist with inventory reconciliation, including monthly, quarterly, and annual close Ensure cycle count process is completed weekly Accurately enter and maintain data in Microsoft Dynamics (AX) Reconcile vendor invoices Work independently under general supervision of the Supply Chain Manager Purchase and manage raw materials to support manufacturing requirements. Analyzes MRP requirements to ensure accuracy and integrity; determines future needs; decides min/max and economic order quantity. Maintains MRP data. Coordinates subcontracted materials and services. Tracks and monitors purchase orders, keeping informed of any problems/delays and communicating any impacts/constraints. Expedites/Defer materials to ensure product availability per the build schedule. Plan the production schedule and monitor work-in-process to ensure customer delivery requirements are met. Release and receive work orders. Participant in the cross-functional team for supplier approval requests, set-up, and monitoring. Analyzes, evaluates, and controls finished goods and purchased parts inventory. Demand analysis for executing MRP Signals such pull-ins, pushouts, cancellations. Provide material support through communications with suppliers and placing purchase orders according to MRP requirements. Analyse, understand, and convert MRP messages to raw material purchase orders and plans to meet production / forecast demand Resolve invoice discrepancies. Inventory Management – Understand, maintain the minimum necessary raw materials, finished goods inventory and report on the status of inventory levels against inventory targets. Responsible for the accuracy and integrity of purchasing and planning master data for assigned materials and products. Maintain accurate item master data lead times, batch size, safety stock target, to always ensure 100% system data accuracy.
Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in related field preferred Inventory reconciliation experience Intermediate Excel knowledge Strong verbal communication skills Experience working with SAP preferred APICS Certification 3+ years Production Planning and/or Material Planning Experience
