Crossflow Technologies, Inc. has an exciting opportunity for a Project Scheduler located in Kettering, OH (Dayton, WPAFB) to support our EPASS GB contract. As part of the AFLCMC/GB Business and Enterprise Systems Directorate, the Maintenance Repair and Overhaul Initiative (MROi) is a DOTMLPF-P transformation and standardization of both the business processes and enabling materiel solution which provides Air Force Sustainment Center (AFSC) with an integrated capability for planning, scheduling and executing organic depot maintenance to support agile planning, optimized workload assignment, resource allocation and integrated quality.
This position requires a highly motivated Project Scheduler who will be responsible for planning, developing, and maintaining the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) in accordance with Agile delivery principles, business capability planning, and Air Force acquisition governance. This position requires advanced proficiency in Microsoft Project, a strong understanding of Agile methodologies, and experience navigating DoD and Air Force acquisition policy frameworks. Job duties include, but not limited to:
Develop and manage a comprehensive Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) aligned with DoDI 5000.75 for BCAT I business system programs.
Translate functional capability planning (capability drops, MVPs, and functional increments) into actionable schedule artifacts integrated with Agile delivery timelines.
Ensure IMS supports capability delivery planning, system implementation, and decision support processes including Functional Requirements Evaluation, Functional Sponsor approval, and Business Capability Lifecycle (BCL) events.
Coordinate with Functional Leads, Product Owners, Scrum Teams, and government stakeholders to reflect accurate sprint/increment timelines, dependencies, and delivery milestones.
Produce IMS technical outputs including:
GANTT charts
Network logic diagrams
Critical path analysis and risk-adjusted timelines
Integrate Agile constructs (sprints, backlogs, epics/features) with BCAT reporting structures to ensure traceability of business outcomes to schedule milestones.
Align scheduling efforts with documentation and events required by DoDI 5000.75, including:
Capability Needs Statement (CNS)
Business Case Analysis (BCA)
Acquisition Strategy and Implementation Plans
Support cross-functional schedule integration across cybersecurity, testing, functional governance, and enterprise architecture.
Facilitate schedule reviews and deliver updates to Air Force PMOs, Functional Sponsor organizations, and oversight bodies (e.g., SAF/AQ, SAF/CN).
Analyze schedule performance trends and provide recommendations for corrective actions to keep programs aligned with defined cost, schedule, and capability goals.
Support the preparation of artifacts required for BCL governance reviews, including Functional Capability Boards (FCBs) and Milestone Decision Authority (MDA) briefings.
Job Requirements
Advanced Degree (MA/MS) in Business Administration, Management Information Systems or other relevant discipline and 10 years of experience, 5 of which must be in the DoD, or
BA/BS Degree in Business Administration, Management Information Systems or other relevant discipline and 12 years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, 5 of which must be in the DoD, or,
15 years of directly related experience with proper certifications, 8 of which must be in the DoD.
Demonstrated experience with BCAT I or other major business system programs
Expertise in Microsoft Project, including master-subproject linking, critical path tracking, and baseline analysis
Deep understanding of DoDI 5000.75, business capability acquisition lifecycle, and governance artifacts
Strong working knowledge of Agile and DevSecOps delivery models, especially as applied in DoD environments
Proven ability to translate Agile roadmaps and backlog priorities into integrated schedules
Possesses the advanced knowledge, experience and recognized ability to be considered highly skilled in their technical/professional field.
Possesses the ability to perform tasks independently and oversee the efforts of junior and journeyman contractor personnel within the technical/professional discipline.
Demonstrates advanced knowledge of their technical/professional discipline as well as possess a comprehensive understanding and ability to apply associated standards, procedures, and practices in their area of expertise (Program Office, Enterprise and Staff Level Support interface).
Must be proficient with MS Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Project, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
Knowledge and proficiency with MS Project is required for this position
Must be familiar with using MS Teams and MS SharePoint for project collaboration
Experience with managing Air Force Risk Management process in support of the acquisition process
A working understanding of Agile Development
Prior experience supporting Air Force PMOs, AFLCMC, or SAF-level business system programs - Preferred
Prior experience with DoD Acquisition programs under DoD 5000.02 or 5000.75 policy
Familiarity with Atlassian Tools; Jira and Confluence
