What You’ll Be Doing

Strategic Growth:Drive community engagement, enrollment strategies, and local marketing initiatives to grow the business

Operational Excellence:Ensure seamless execution of swim lessons and customer service across multiple locations in San Jose & Fremont

Team Leadership:Hire, train, and manage a team of enthusiastic instructor

Water Safety Champion:Ensure adherence to our swim methodology and highest safety standards

Customer Delight:Build strong relationships with families, ensuring every experience is positive

What You Bring

Leadership Experience:5+ years in team and operations management in fitness or hospitality industry

Customer-First Mentality:Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills

Organizational Excellence:Ability to manage and optimize operations

Swimming Background Preferred:Experience teaching or managing swim programs is a plus

Flexibility:Willingness to work afternoons/evenings and weekends

Language Skills:English proficiency required; Spanish is a bonus

Certifications:Lifeguard, CPR, First Aid preferred (can be earned during employment)

Bonus:Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification preferred

A Day in the Life of General Manager

Morning:Customer growth, Pool partner & team check-ins (remote)

Afternoon:Customer service and schedule management (remote)

Evenings/Weekends:Oversee swim classes, team performance, customer interactions (In-Person)

Compensation: $70,000.00 - $86,000.00 per year

While we teach swimming to people of all ages and abilities, most of our students are preschool and elementary-aged kids. Our instructors should like working with this age group and be good at making parents feel comfortable. It's helpful if you have experience with children or in a child-focused job, but it's not required if you can show the right attitude. The job comes with specialized training in our advanced and unique British Swim School approach.

We also have exciting opportunities with our Customer Service Team, even if you're not in the pool. These are the people committed to providing the best service in the industry. In these roles, you might talk to parents on the phone or by the pool. Wherever you are, the aim is to make everyone feel like part of the British Swim School Family as we focus on ensuring the “Survival of the Littlest.”
