He or she visits assigned accounts within a 70-mile radius, in person, on a weekly, bi-weekly and/or monthly basis depending on size and/or potential of account.This position is responsible for understanding and developing assigned territory to maximize and grow revenue and profits by selling products and solutions to existing customers and acquiring new business.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesDevise effective territory sales and marketing strategiesAnalyze data to find the most efficient sales methodsMeet with customers to address concerns and provide solutionsDiscover sales opportunities through consumer researchPresent products and services to prospective customersParticipate in industry or promotional events (e.g. trade shows) to cultivate customer relationshipsConduct training in sales techniques and company product attributesAssess sales performance according to KPIsMonitor competition within assigned regionPrepare and submit reports to the sales managerLocal travel required 100 % of the time, overnight travel 2 to 5% All other duties as assignedSkills, Knowledge, & AbilitiesProven experience as a Territory ManagerProven track record of increasing sales and revenue; field sales experience is preferredAbility to develop sales strategies and use performance KPIsProficient in MS Office; familiarity with Salesforce is a plusExcellent communication skillsOrganizational and leadership abilityProblem-solving aptitudeRequired QualificationsBS/BA in Business, Marketing or a related field2 years industry experience2 years of previous sales experience Preferred QualificationsBachelor's Degree and/or 5+ years industry experience5 years previous sales experienceBachelor's Degree and/or 5+ years industry experience5 years previous sales experience
