Job Opportunity: Medical Assistant - Medical Assistant
Facility: CSMN - 1109064 - Kerlan-Jobe Anaheim Location: Anaheim, CA Employment Type: Travel/Contract Shift: Day (5x8 Hours) 8:00 17:00 Start Date: 3/31/2025 Job Duration: 13 weeks
Compensation: Rate Type: Hourly Over Time: Default Multiplier: None; 8 Hour Multiplier: 40 total hours in 1 week: 1.3%; 10 Hour Multiplier: 40 total hours in 1 week: 1.3%; 12 Hour Multiplier: 48 total hours in 1 week: 1.3%; Double Time: 12 total hours in a day: 1.7% On-Call: 8$ Call Back: 1% Holiday Pay: 1.5%

Required Qualifications: • Medical Assistant Certificate/Diploma from a DAPIP accredited program OR national certification through AAMA, AMCA, AMT, CCBMA, or MMCI. • Experience with medical insurance, referral processes, and benefit plans • Demonstrated ability to prepare patients for examination by performing preliminary physical tests, taking blood pressure, weight, and temperature, and reporting patient history summaries • 2 years working as an MA in an outpatient clinic or medical office setting • Proficiency with blood/lab draws and venipuncture • Interest in temp to perm opportunities
Preferred Qualifications: • 2+ years working as a MA in Orthopedics • Experience with CS-Link/Epic • Experience with Quest Diagnostic laboratory submissions • Phlebotomy certification • Understanding of medical terminology
Job Duties: • Greet patients, take appropriate vital signs, review current meds, and record in the medical record • Assist with tracking and monitoring department-specific data • Explain policies, procedures, or services to patients based on scope of practice • Set up exam/procedure rooms appropriate to the patient visit needs • Clean and re-process equipment and supplies following department guidelines • Administer immunizations, injections, or oral medications as directed by provider • Draw and prepare designated lab work or specimens as directed by provider
