As a Material Handler at Openwork, you play a vital role in the daily operations of our warehousing and distribution facilities. You’ll help ensure accurate movement, storage, and handling of materials to keep everything running smoothly—and our customers satisfied. Key Responsibilities
Receiving & Unloading: Safely unload inbound shipments and verify materials against packing lists or purchase orders. Material Movement: Move inventory to designated areas using pallet jacks or forklifts (certification preferred). Order Picking & Packing: Accurately pick and pack orders using RF scanners or warehouse systems. Inventory Control: Support cycle counts, audits, and inventory reconciliations. Shipping: Prepare outbound shipments—label, wrap, and stage pallets according to standards. Safety & Housekeeping: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Teamwork: Work closely with your team and supervisors to meet productivity goals. Qualifications & Requirements
High school diploma or GED preferred Warehouse or distribution center experience a plus Ability to operate pallet jacks and forklifts (certification preferred or provided) Basic computer and RF scanner skills preferred Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods Willingness to work overtime, weekends, or alternate shifts as needed Preferred Skills
Experience with WMS (Warehouse Management Systems) Familiarity with barcoding and RF scanning Strong attention to detail and customer service focus Pay & Shifts
1st Shift:
Hours: 7:00 AM or 7:30 AM – 3:45 PM or 4:30 PM (Mon–Fri) Pay: $15.50/hr Forklift Operators: $17.50/hr 2nd Shift:
Hours: 4:00 PM – 12:45 AM (Sun–Thurs) Pay: $16.00/hr Forklift Operators: $18.00/hr Perks & Benefits
