Job Description Salary: $15/hr JOB SUMMARY: This position is the first line of contact with the customer and therefore requires good interpersonal and phone communication skills. The position is responsible for cash receipts and credit card payments daily. The position works closely with Pro Shop/Golf Operations Manager on various day-to-day duties.
RESPONSIBILTIES: Accurately handle cash and credit cards payments. Assist in presentation and sale of merchandise. Helps manage the tee sheet and works closely with starters/rangers. Maintain cleanliness of the golf shop and behind the desk. Demonstrate and support park district customer service standards. Follow district and departmental safety, personnel, and administrative policies, procedures and ordinances. Assist other outside staff with special duties assigned by the manager on duty. Must be willing to work in a fast-paced environment.
REQUIREMENTS: Must be at least 18 years of age Must have Basset Certification Valid drivers license required Basic knowledge of golf and prior customer service experience preferred Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word is required. Demonstrate excellent communication skills (i.e., professional ability to promptly and enthusiastically attend to customer needs). Friendly, responsible and outgoing personality Ability to work independently in day-to-day operations with general direction from supervisor. Ability to address complaints and resolve concerns in a professional manner Must pass a criminal background check Ability to lift, carry, and/or move objects weighing 30 lbs. on a daily.Lifting assistance is required when lifting > 30 lbs.
SCHEDULING: This is a seasonal position from spring to November (weather dependent). You can expect to work about 10-25 hours per week. Scheduling will include various shifts Monday through Sunday.
