We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced AWS Cloud Architect / DevOps Engineer with a strong background in designing and implementing robust AWS architectures, disaster recovery solutions, and cloud-native applications. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Amazon EKS, Docker & Kubernetes, Helm, Terraform, CI/CD pipelines (GitLab, Jenkins), and cloud migrations. This role demands a proactive problem-solver with strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with Product team and lead offshore teams.
Key Responsibilities: • Design and implement scalable, secure, and highly available AWS architectures, including multi-region redundancy and Disaster Recovery (DR) strategies. • Deploy and manage containerized applications using Amazon EKS (Docker & Kubernetes). Experience with Helm charts deployment is an added advantage. • Build and manage infrastructure using Terraform, following Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) principles. • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitLab, GitHub, and Jenkins, preferably using declarative pipeline approaches. • Lead and participate in cloud migration projects (on-prem to AWS or cloud-to-cloud), including application (monolithic to microservices) and database migration strategies. • Collaborate with development teams to integrate DevOps processes into Java Spring Boot and microservices architectures. • Interface directly with Product, understanding requirements and delivering high-quality solutions. • Create design documents, architectural diagrams, and operational documentation for various AWS services. • Ensure cloud security compliance, including SSL certificate management, IAM policies, encryption, and WAF configurations. • Setup and manage monitoring and observability solutions including Grafana, Splunk, ELK and Cloud Watch. • Guide and mentor offshore teams, ensuring smooth execution of project goals and timelines.
Must-Have Technical Skills: • Strong hands-on expertise in AWS Services EKS, EFS, EC2, S3, Route 53, WAF, SNS, SQS, SES, KMS, Load Balancers, CloudFront, CloudWatch, etc. • Deep understanding of Kubernetes, Helm, and Docker. • Proficiency in Terraform for infrastructure provisioning and maintenance. • Experience with CI/CD tools: GitLab (Declarative pipelines), GitHub, jenkins, git, etc.. • Experience in cloud migrations, preferably to AWS. • Scripting proficiency in at least one language (Eg: Python, bash). • Understanding of cloud security, IAM policies, encryption, and compliance. • Java Spring Boot and microservices-based architectures.
Good to Have: . • Knowledge on database migration and schema conversions (e.g., MySQL to Postgres). • Agile methodologies and DevSecOps practices.
