Description

The Instructional Technology Support Specialist shall be responsible for working in conjunction with the Instructional Technology team to provide in person and online learning support and implement current and emerging instructional technologies in a fast-paced setting. This is a full-time, 12-month FLSA non-exempt position covered by the Public-School Retirement System of Missouri (PSRS/PEERS).

Bachelor's degree preferred; valid driver's license required. Must be proficient with Microsoft Office and have experience with technology and the ability to learn new software programs easily. This well-organized individual must possess excellent customer service skills and an ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. Job Responsibilities

Essential Duties:

Primary intake point of contact for student, faculty, and staff INSTRUCTIONAL technology questions with escalation to appropriate staff as needed. Typical issues revolve around the learning management system and additional online learning resources; screen recording tools, mobile apps, online testing solutions, Microsoft Office, web conferencing tools, and other technology used in the teaching and learning process; Monitor the Student Technology Center and assist students, faculty and staff with instructional technology issues; Respond to questions from students, faculty, and staff through the MACC Instructional Technology distribution email; Manage student inquiries received via the online campus website and answer or forward to other support personnel, advisors, or departments as needed for follow up. Assist students, faculty, and staff with virtual meeting setup in a classroom or conference room setting; Assist students, faculty, and LARC personnel with remote proctoring software; Provide technical support and training for faculty and staff in the use of classroom technology. Monitor Instructional Technology inventory; Maintain strong communication with Director of Instructional Technology and the Instructional Technology team; Maintain a professional level of confidentiality, discretion, and privacy (FERPA) of records and information when dealing with students, faculty, and staff; Peripheral Duties

Assist with College Bookstore duties as needed; Provide audio/visual setup and support for MACC events. Assist other departments with LDA verification and documentation. Coordinate departmental projects as assigned; Participate in college committees, professional workshops, and conferences; Perform other duties as assigned.
