Job Purpose:
Collaborating with the providers and multidisciplinary team to deliver appropriate client care. Assist with the coordination of the psychiatrist/nurse practitioner's daily activities.
Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent. Psychiatric/Behavioral Health experience preferred. Healthcare technology experience preferred. Ability to perform basic medical assistant needs. Core Job Duties:
Perform vitals. Perform screenings per Prescriber(s) request. Inform provider when person(s) served are ready and escort them to designated area(s). Actively working refill request from pharmacy(s). Perform blood/urine collection(s) as requested by Prescriber(s). Request lab results and follow up with reported results. Call in refill medications as needed and directed by Prescriber(s). Answer phone calls/voicemail(s) regarding medications and notify Prescriber(s) of any adverse reactions. Actively respond to emails regarding medications for person(s) served. Handle request for records/discharge summaries as requested by Prescriber(s). Demonstrate a working knowledge of diagnostic criteria sets for substance use and/or mental disorders. Orally communicate information effectively and accurately. Assure program operates within the constraints of the agency's certification (CARF, DMH) standards and strategic plan related to clinical care. Abide by program and agency policies and procedures. Other job duties and special projects as assigned.
