Selectek in search of an Estimator in Spartanburg, SC. Â
 This position plays a crucial role in evaluating project requirements, preparing accurate cost estimates, and supporting the sales and engineering teams in securing new machinery projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical and technical background, experience in estimating complex machinery, and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and customers.
 Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree preferred, but significant relevant experience will be considered. Minimum 3+ years  of experience in estimating custom-engineered machinery, fabrication, or industrial equipment. Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and machining techniques. Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and engineering documentation. Experience working with estimating software, ERP systems, and CRMs Excellent attention to detail and ability to work under deadlines. Strong communication and collaboration skills to interact effectively with sales, engineering, and production teams.
Responsibilities:
Develop detailed cost estimates for custom-engineered machinery and fabricated equipment based on customer specifications and internal guidelines. Collaborate with sales engineers and design teams to evaluate project feasibility, material requirements, labor costs, and production timelines. Analyze drawings, specifications, and technical documentation to ensure accurate quoting. Work with suppliers and internal procurement teams to obtain pricing for components, materials, and outsourced services. Maintain and update cost databases, estimating templates, and pricing structures. Assist in preparing formal proposals and quotations for customers, ensuring clarity and completeness. Support sales and project management teams with cost-related insights and risk assessments. Utilize CRM software to document and track estimates, proposals, and customer interactions.
