Project Manager - Federal Construction Compensation: Base salary up to $150K (flexible based on experience) + Bonus + Truck Allowance + Full Benefits
A well-established and growing general contractor is seeking an experienced
Project Manager
to oversee
federal government ground-up construction projects . This company is nationally recognized for delivering complex projects for agencies such as the
U.S. Department of State, Department of Defense , and other federal entities. Theyre known for building in both secure domestic and international environments, with a consistent pipeline of federal and military work.
Responsibilities:
Lead and manage all phases of federal construction projects from preconstruction through closeout
Maintain project budget, schedule, and scope while ensuring strict compliance with government contract terms
Coordinate with USACE, NAVFAC, subcontractors, consultants, and internal stakeholders
Oversee project documentation, safety, quality assurance, and federal reporting requirements
Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and procurement in line with government standards
Ensure adherence to EM 385-1-1 safety protocols and federal QA/QC guidelines
Requirements:
Minimum of 5+ years of experience managing
federal/ government ground-up construction projects
Demonstrated experience with
USACE and/or NAVFAC
project delivery
USACE or NAVFAC construction certification required
Deep understanding of federal construction processes and contract compliance (FAR, DFARS, etc.)
Strong communication, scheduling, and leadership skills
Proficiency in construction management tools such as Procore, MS Project, or Primavera
U.S. Citizenship (required for federal project access)
Willingness to travel or relocate for project assignments
