Overview:
We are seeking a Senior Project Manager with a strong background in residential land development to join a growing engineering team in Charlotte, NC. This position offers the opportunity to lead site development projects, oversee a small project team, and manage multiple concurrent assignments. Candidates should have strong technical and leadership capabilities and a passion for creating sustainable community developments.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead land development projects from due diligence and site planning through design and construction Prepare and oversee the design of grading, drainage, water/wastewater, and stormwater detention systems Utilize AutoCAD and Civil 3D for detailed design work and project documentation Manage multiple projects, deadlines, and team assignments simultaneously Mentor junior staff and support the development of a new project team Coordinate with clients, regulatory agencies, and internal teams to ensure project success Optional: Participate in business development activities (not required)
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering Active PE license (Professional Engineer) 7+ years of land development experience (10+ years for senior-level) Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D Experience designing residential land and site development projects, including grading, utilities, and stormwater systems Proven ability to manage multiple active projects effectively Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills
