This role involves collaborating with Regional Vice Presidents of Operations to foster client relationships while ensuring safe, effective, and cost-efficient care. Minimum Requirements: M.D. or D.O. Degree required Completion of residency in a primary care specialty preferred Board certified, board eligible, or qualified per state laws to practice medicine Valid medical license for the state in which services are rendered Minimum of 5 years clinical experience in relevant fields Current BLS certification Current DEA registration Utilization Management experience preferred Essential Functions: Ensure comprehensive healthcare provision in your region Act as a liaison for clinical matters, specialty care, and inpatient services Provide 24/7 backup for site Medical Directors Participate in quality and safety improvement initiatives Attend facility meetings as requested Ensure facilities are equipped with necessary medical tools Develop medical audit criteria and improve clinical practices Guide on-site quality improvement programs Provide training for medical and correctional staff on continuity of care Monitor referral processes for quality and appropriateness Be a clinical resource for Site Medical Directors and Health Services Administrators Engage in Business Development activities Other duties as assigned If you are passionate about making a positive impact in healthcare, we invite you to apply for this rewarding position with VitalCore Health Strategies.
