Responsibilities Supervises the daily operations of the Contracting Department and Contract Coordinators. In collaboration with the Manager Strategic Sourcing and Data Management, coordinate supply, service and procurement contracting activity for the system. Supervises the analysis and implementation of the systems and Group Purchasing Organization (GPO) contracts. Responsible for coordinating the support of the Value Analysis Teams for the system. Develops and issues Request for Proposals (RFP) using a competitive bidding process. Facilitates contract negotiations, sourcing of supplies, drafting and internal processing of agreements and implementation of each pursued opportunity. Presents findings and recommendations to the designated Value Analysis Teams (VAT) with the use of excel, analyses, charts and graphs to support findings. Responsible for on-going contract compliance and maintenance of contracts.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field required
Master's Degree preferred
High School Diploma, High School Equivalency (HSE) or Completion of a CHS Approved Individualized Education Plan (IEP) Certificate and seven (7) years of relevant contracting experience may be substituted for the Bachelor’s Degree requirement
3 years of progressively responsible purchasing and contracting experience in a large hospital or multi-hospital system required
One of the following is preferred
CMRP - Certified Professional through the Association of Healthcare Resource Management
CPSM - Certified Professional through the Institute for Supply Management
CPM - Certified Purchasing Manager through the National Purchasing Managers Association
