Quality Control Lead
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Quality Control Lead to join our food manufacturing operation. This role involves hands-on leadership in maintaining product quality standards while overseeing quality assurance staff and supporting daily production processes. The successful candidate will ensure compliance with food safety regulations and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Location
: Pomona, CA
Pay
: $21-$23/hour
Type
: 4 month contract to hire
Schedule
: M-F 1pm-9pm
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate quality assurance personnel to ensure timely completion of daily tasks.
Monitor shift quality standards and escalate issues to QC management when necessary.
Perform comprehensive quality inspections of raw materials, work-in-process, and finished products.
Execute pre-operational inspections and environmental swabs as required.
Conduct daily allergen control inspections during pre-operation and throughout production.
Perform routine Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) audits in production and warehouse areas.
Maintain adherence to all federal, state, and local OSHA regulations.
Required Qualifications
Minimum 3 years of experience in food manufacturing environment.
At least 6 months of leadership experience in Quality Control within food manufacturing.
Strong understanding of food safety programs and regulatory requirements (FDA, USDA, AIB, HACCP, GMP, Allergen Programs).
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
Leadership skills with ability to motivate and guide team members.
