We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Packer to join our team in Surgoinsville. The ideal candidate will be responsible for packaging products efficiently and accurately while ensuring that all items meet quality standards. This role requires a strong understanding of materials handling and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
This is a 12 hour, rotating shift
Day & Night shifts available
Must be able to train on 1st shift
$15.00-$16.00 per hour, paid weekly
Responsibilities:
Package finished products for shipment, ensuring proper materials handling and adherence to quality standards.
Assemble components as needed, utilizing mechanical knowledge to ensure accuracy.
Fabricate parts when necessary, following specifications and using precision measuring instruments like micrometers.
Conduct routine inspections of packaged goods to ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality requirements.
Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety protocols.
Collaborate with team members to optimize production processes and improve efficiency.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in packaging or manufacturing is preferred but not required.
Familiarity with plastics injection molding and machining processes is a plus.
Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate various tools and machinery effectively.
Proficient in using precision measuring instruments, including micrometers, for quality assurance tasks.
Commitment to producing high-quality work.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment.
Basic math with ability to read a tape measure
Ability to lift up to 40lbs, stand, reach and sit as needed throughout shift and perform physical tasks as required in a manufacturing setting.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
