Dealer Account Representative

Summary

The Dealer Account Representative (DAR) is responsible for ensuring that our client and/or partners are fully equipped to consistently and competitively respond to bids and requests for proposals. They will act as a subject matter expert and provide solicitation/proposal process related expertise. This is a highly networked role responsible for managing assigned customer relationships for MarketSource, with the goal of retaining and growing those customers by providing a personalized experience and promoting MarketSource philosophies. DAR’s will educate customers on the products, services, and channels provided by MarketSource clients and actively seek opportunities to grow the relationship by recommending solutions that will meet the customers’ business needs.

The DAR’s role will include proactively collaborating with teams, clients, customers, and internal departments to ensure that customer expectations are met or exceeded and to proactively identify opportunities for account growth.

Essential Job Functions:

Act as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts for providing assistance, resolving issues, and facilitating requirements to enhance company’s position in existing and target accounts

Develop and execute a plan to grow revenue of assigned accounts while seeking new business

Analyze opportunities, identify key personnel, and develop strong business relationships

Develop a territory management plan to maximize time with customers

Develop strategies, proposals, and forecasts

Seek to improve customer experience and productivity by collecting, analyzing, identifying, and presenting information

Develop and conduct product demonstrations and presentations

Prepare quotes and customer correspondences

Utilize online resources to maintain accurate records of calls, customer files, & activity information

Discuss activities with manager

Partner with designated representatives on calls for assigned accounts

Prioritize and identify more critical and less critical activities and tasks; adjusts priorities when appropriate

Effectively schedule in coordination with peers, clients etc. and allocate time to complete work

Work with manager to ensure a consistent and effective customer experience, appropriate transaction processing, high customer satisfaction and service levels

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Self-starter with the ability to seek opportunities to go above and beyond job requirements to achieve stated goals and objectives

Effective communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills required

Ability to engage customers in a consultative manner and effectively recommend additional products and services

Ability to work in a high performance, fast-paced team environment

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, SalesForce.com, internet research and web based presentation skills

Ability to adapt to and work effectively within a constantly changing environment

Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills required

Ability to function as a solid team player and work closely with teammates, field sales, and customer care to create a superior customer experience

Ability to take independent action, implement innovative ideas or potential solutions without prompting; does not wait for others to take action or to request action

Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree 1+ years of industry-specific experience
