Overview:

This pivotal role focuses on leading large-scale conceptual EPC bids, where your extensive experience will be critical in delivering accurate estimates. As the Lead Estimator, you will report directly to the Director of Estimating and will oversee major projects, ensuring every aspect of RFP requirements, winning proposal strategies, alternative contracting methods, and risk management is meticulously handled. Location & Travel Details:

This is an onsite position located in one of our four office locations: Fargo, ND, Indianapolis, IN, Clinton, IN, or Phoenix, AZ. Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive conceptual estimates for complex EPC projects from bid package receipt through final review, including site visits, scope determination, material takeoffs, and data entry into estimating systems. Efficiently manage bid preparation timelines to ensure accuracy and thoroughness. Foster a collaborative team environment to encourage cross-group collaboration. Utilize your experience to visualize project components and conceptualize estimations. Organize and detail estimates for manhour applications, facilitating clear understanding and effective handoff to field personnel. Demonstrate advanced knowledge of construction estimating and successfully manage large project bid teams. Train and mentor junior estimators, enhancing team capabilities. Lead responsibilities in technical estimating, including site visits, understanding RFQ requirements, and turnover of estimates. Possess mastery of discipline-specific tasks including material takeoffs, drawing comprehension, manhour analysis, and pricing assessments. May take charge as Lead Estimator on specific estimates. Perform additional duties as necessary. Qualifications: A high school diploma alongside relevant training or education equivalent to a Bachelor's degree. At least 7 years of experience in construction estimating, demonstrating knowledge of construction techniques, management, and contract types. Familiarity with various contract types, including EPC, DB, and JV, alongside contract negotiation experience. Proficiency in vendor and client collaboration. Experience leading bids on a consistent basis. Skills and Abilities: Commit to the health and safety of yourself and others, adhering to Zero Injury principles.
