Duties and Responsibilities

This position is authorized to develop, implement, monitor, evaluate, and administer policies and procedures for the Commercial Driver License and Third-Party Testing program. Authorized to develop and administer confidential investigative activities to enforce Chapter 322.56, Florida Statutes.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Knowledge of Commercial Driver Licensing program

Knowledge of regulatory enforcement program

Ability to apply governmental policy and procedures to assist and monitor compliance by private businesses and other agencies

Skill in using a computer

Skill in writing reports and correspondence

Preferred Qualifications

Preference will be given to candidates with the following:

Experience supervising others

Experience developing, implementing, monitoring, evaluating, and administering policies and procedures

Job Related Requirements

Occasional out-of-town, overnight travel for meetings and special assignments is required.

Applicants being considered for employment will be required to submit to a fingerprint-based background investigation, which will include a check of the criminal history records of the FBI. FLHSMV employees are paid once a month on the last workday of each month. All state employees are required to participate in the direct deposit program pursuant to s. 110.113 Florida Statutes.
