based on experience and local job market. Hybrid Work Structure:

Core hours are Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM EST - required in-office attendance 4 times a month. Flexibility may be necessary for early or late shifts based on business needs. Orientation Schedule (6 months):

Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM and 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM EST; up to 4 days in-office per week until fully oriented. Become a member of GEICO's Casualty Claims Team during this exciting time! We are seeking passionate Casualty Claims Specialists with previous casualty and bodily injury experience

to help us deliver exceptional service to our clients. In this critical role, you will collaborate with a dynamic team of professionals skilled in handling bodily injury claims. Your exemplary service and technical know-how to resolve various injury claims will be essential. You'll conduct thorough investigations, assess accident details and medical documentation, negotiate settlements, gather external information, and provide relevant documentation, all while delivering the best customer service possible. Ideal candidates will show a strong willingness to learn, be receptive to feedback, and adapt to change swiftly. Job Requirements: Minimum one (1) year of successful experience in Bodily Injury claims handling. Must possess an active Adjuster license upon hire. Excellent customer service and communication skills, both verbal and written. Understanding of Department of Insurance Guidelines and the Insurance Code. Outstanding negotiating abilities. Proficient in Microsoft Office and strong computer skills. Highly organized with the ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment. Proven ability to exercise sound judgment. GEICO’s hybrid work model supports flexibility. In-office attendance is required 4 times a month following the completion of the orientation period. We may adjust in-office requirements based on business needs. Responsibilities: Deliver outstanding customer service to policyholders and potential policyholders, guiding them through the claims process. Verify coverage for each loss and all policy provisions prior to processing payments. Investigate all facets of the claim to determine liability and legal responsibility. Detect and analyze claims for potential fraud and escalate as needed. Utilize claims tools to effectively assess liability and damage extent. Evaluate damages based on investigation findings, ensuring fair payment. Negotiate settlement amounts with insureds, claimants, and/or attorneys as assigned. Authorize payments based on established damages within your authority limit. Request additional authority for evaluations exceeding your designated limits. Ensuring compliance with all requirements in a timely, professional manner. Adjust reserves on both new and ongoing claims accordingly. Engage actively in claims forums as required. Communicate findings to the claims management team as necessary, especially for high-exposure or unusual losses. Perform additional duties as assigned.
