Our open positions include: Behavioral Health & Wellness Center - Monday-Friday Med Surg - Monday-Friday 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM Pre & Post Op - Monday-Friday 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM Important: Successful completion of a qualifying internship approved by the Association of Child Life Specialists is required. As a Child Life Specialist, you will provide therapeutic, educational, and recreational programs that support the development and emotional needs of our young patients and their families during their healthcare experience. Key Responsibilities:

Support patients before medical procedures by providing education and conducting assessments of coping skills, ensuring their emotional and developmental needs are met. Facilitate interactions with patients, siblings, and parents, recognizing the importance of therapeutic play. Advocate for patient needs within the medical team and communicate effectively to enhance care. Coordinate educational programs about Child Life Services, participating in orientations and outreach initiatives. Maintain a safe, engaging play area that is regularly assessed and stocked with appropriate toys. Stay informed on the latest trends and best practices in Child Life, pursuing opportunities for professional development. Education Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Child Life, Child Development, Psychology, or a related field is required. Experience Requirements: Completion of a minimum 600-hour clinical internship supervised by a Certified Child Life Specialist is required. Previous experience in a hospital setting as a Child Life Specialist is preferred. Skills and Abilities: Ability to effectively advocate for patients and establish professional rapport with families. Experience working with both healthy and hospitalized children is essential. Certifications: CCLS - Certified Child Life Specialist must be obtained within two years of hire. BCLS - Basic Life Support through the American Heart Association is required within 180 days of hire.
