Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled
Cytotechnologist
to join a dynamic team in Buckeye Lake, OH. This role involves microscopic evaluation of cytology specimens, including GYN and non-GYN samples, with opportunities to work with cutting-edge laboratory technology.
Key Responsibilities: Primary duty will be the microscopic evaluation of pap smears. Additional duties will include processing of Non GYN specimens, assisting on final needle aspirates, microscopic evaluation of Non GYN specimens, pap smear registration and accessioning, pap smear processing, pap smear staining, stainer maintenance. The processing, registration, and accessioning is typically done by support staff, but the Cytotechs cover for PTO, FMLA, call offs, or when it is needed based on volume. Equipment used includes Thin Prep processors, Thin Prep imager, Leica stainer, SoftPath. Cytotech will work with state-of-the-art instrumentation. Requirements
Qualifications:
Education:
Completion of an accredited Cytotechnology (CT) program. Licensure:
CT (ASCP) certification required. Experience:
Prior experience in
GYN/non-GYN screenings & fine needle procedures . Cytology specimen processing experience is a plus. Technical Skills:
Proficiency with
Thin Prep processors, Thin Prep imager, Leica stainer, and SoftPath . Soft Skills:
Strong attention to detail, teamwork, and adaptability. Benefits
