WAREHOUSE / CLASS A - CDL DRIVER
Monday - Friday 7am - 3:30pm Mandatory Overtime
Position will consist of 50% driving and 50% warehouse
Essential Functions:
Drive vehicle to its destination, applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations and area roads.
Obey traffic laws and follow established traffic and transportation procedures.
Maintain a vehicle log, in accordance with state, federal and local regulations and company policies and procedures.
Represent the Company to customers, the public and other external sources in a respectful and professional manner. This will be reflected in clothing attire, listening skills and communication exchanges; to name a few.
Inspect vehicle equipment and supplies, such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water, to ensure that safety requirements are met.
Position blocks and secure cargo by appropriate means during transit.
May load and unload the vehicle as needed or required.
Verify the contents of inventory loads against shipping papers.
Responsible for securing straps on product for safe and secure delivery.
Responsible for securing tarps on loads to protect from elements as needed or requested
Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage to the vehicle or product to supervisor at the earliest time possible.
Read maps and follow written or verbal geographic directions.
Obtain receipts or signatures for delivered goods
The ability to perform all the physical requirement listed below.
Perform job functions as needed or required.
Regular and dependable attendance and punctuality, including being available for overtime whether offered on a voluntary or mandatory basis.
Observe all plant safety rules and regulations, wear proper safety attire at all times.
Non-Essential Functions: 1. May perform other duties that are not fundamental to the overall purpose and strategic impact of the job.
Job Specifications: KSA's:
Possess a valid in-state commercial driver's license.
Performs semi-routine job involving some variety of detail and requiring judgment.
Ability to obtain and retain knowledge of pertinent occupational safety rules and practices.
Ability to reason through problems.
Ability to understand and follow simple oral and written instructions.
Ability to perform strenuous work in all weather conditions
Ability to visually check equipment to detect adjustments.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers.
Ability to work with a wide variety of people from diverse backgrounds.
Ability to adhere to all organizational policies and procedures.
Ability to listen and understand directions.to adhere to all organizational policies & procedures

Materials Used:
Steel coils, product, lubricants, banding equipment/tools, packaging and unitizing materials.
Tools & Equipment:
Operates all plant material handling equipment (Hi-Lifts/Cranes/Up-Enders), truck, pallets, marking equipment, calipers, micrometers, straps, tarps, tape measures, scales, banding materials, pneumatic staplers & nailers.
Experience:
1-2 years commercial driving experience preferred.
Work Conditions:
Manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, fumes and limited climate control. Successful candidates must pass a pre-employment drug testing, background, and physical capacity screenings.
