Java Software Engineer, Property & Recording
Tyler Technologies is seeking a Mid-Level Java Software Engineer for our Property and Recording Division. Our Property & Recording Division integrates software and services for fair and equitable property assessment and taxation, including computer-assisted mass appraisal, tax billing and collection, assessment administration, mass appraisal services, data verification, and data and image collection. A Mid-Level Java Software Engineer on our Core team will be part of a Software Development team responsible for New Feature Development, Support and Maintenance of our Core Applications. NOTE: This is a hybrid position which requires the candidate to be in the Plano, TX or Lakewood, CO office at least 3 days per week. Work with our technology-driven solutions for property assessment and tax software and mass appraisal services. From data collection to computer-assisted mass appraisal to tax billing and collections, you can help develop property and recording solutions for the public sector. Location

Develop new application programs from established specifications or documented requirements. Maintain existing application programs by fixing bugs or clearing up operational deficiencies in both previously released software and software slated for future release. Assure program, module, and system integrity through thorough testing and adherence to company standards and procedures. Work through all software development life cycle phases, including research, design, analysis, requirements, implementation, test automation, and maintenance. Utilize new technologies and tools to modify products and provide integration with applications developed internally and externally. Prepare and modify program and system documentation. Achieve departmental goals and timelines. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications
Required
Bachelors degree in computer science, computer engineering, or comparable work experience. Typically, five or more years of software development experience with database technology. Demonstrated proficient knowledge of software development practices, computer science theory, and understanding of relevant technologies. Experience w/ Agile/Scrum practices & ceremonies. 5+ years of SQL DDL & DML (SQL Server, Oracle, etc...) experience. 5+ years of Java Object-oriented design experience. Data structures and Unit testing (JUnit) experience. Demonstrated ability to write and test code in reasonable timeframes. Provide SME input on compliance of products to architectural standards and impacts on the IT environment. Demonstrated a basic understanding of the development process. Experience with data modeling tools, web services, and/or service-oriented architecture is beneficial. Ability to work well both independently and within a team environment. Good written and verbal communication skills. Good interpersonal skills. Ability to negotiate with various parties to ensure application enhancements are addressed while maintaining/balancing business situations and constrictions. Well-developed logical thinking, reasoning, and problem-solving skills. Well-developed time management skills. Ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks in a fast-paced, technical environment. Keen attention to detail. Preferred
Experience using Git. Experience with Gradle. Web development experience (Apache Tomcat, HTML, JavaScript, Angular). Experience with Spring. AWS experience/certification. State-Specific Salary Range Disclosure Requirements
