We are seeking a skilled Gastroenterologist Physician for a locum tenens position at a Hospital in California. This 85-day assignment begins on 09/02/2025, with potential for extension into 2026. The ideal candidate will be comfortable with a mix of clinic and inpatient consults/procedures, scheduled endoscopy days, and colonoscopies. The work schedule includes weekdays from 8am-5pm, 24-hour call on weekends when applicable, and some weeknight call. The assignment covers specific dates through the end of the year, with an ongoing need in 2026. The physician will work in a clinic setting daily, perform inpatient duties throughout the week, and handle on-call responsibilities for 1-2 weeks per month.

Responsibilities and Duties:
Perform clinic and inpatient consults/procedures
Conduct scheduled endoscopy procedures
Perform colonoscopies
Provide inpatient care and consultations
Handle on-call duties for 1-2 weeks per month
Manage 24-hour weekend call when scheduled
Utilize Cerner EMR for patient management and record-keeping
Maintain a high standard of patient care and satisfaction
Collaborate with hospital staff and other healthcare professionals
Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures
Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
Additional Information:
Must be licensed to practice medicine in California
Proficiency in Cerner EMR required
Flexibility to work extended stretches and various call schedules
