This is a high-trust, high-responsibility role where youll work side-by-side with our visionary CEO to bring order to the chaos, establish scalable processes, and position the company for long-term growth.

ROLE:

As Chief Operating Officer at Gridworx, youll take the reins on day-to-day operations so our CEO can focus on what he does bestvision, strategy, and sales. This role is perfect for an experienced leader with a strong background in finance , construction/industrial operations, and architectural manufacturing who is ready to step into a builders seatnot just to manage systems, but to create them from scratch.

Youll bring logic and structure to a business thats grown on intuition and hustle. With a one-year runway to fully ramp, youll be the internal engine that keeps projects moving, teams aligned, and decisions grounded in data.

This is not a decision-makin g role, but a support role to help execute and bring clarity to the vision. Youll act as a second set of eyes, ears, and logic for the CEOand help turn entrepreneurial speed into operational excellence.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Operational Command

  • Oversee day-to-day operations across design, fabrication, procurement, project management, and administration
  • Build structure, implement accountability, and ensure teams operate with clarity
  • Create systems that dont rely on constant CEO involvement

Financial Oversight

  • Manage budgeting, forecasting, and cost controls using QuickBooks, SOS Inventory, Fathom, Google, and more.
  • Track cash flow, margins, and expenses in real-time to support better decisions
  • Lead reporting efforts with clean, simple dashboards that align with company goals

Process Design & Tool Implementation

  • Buildnot just implementprocesses across departments
  • Design and introduce tools and systems that enhance execution and scale
  • Help connect the dots between software, SOPs, and people

CEO Support & Strategic Execution

  • Act as the CEOs right hand: track follow-through, prep for decisions, and fill in execution gaps
  • Stay grounded in the numbersserving as the logical lens to balance the CEOs intuition
  • Offer proactive insight, but defer key decisions to leadership

Team Leadership & Culture Building

  • Manage and mentor staff in engineering, manufacturing, logistics, and operations
  • Lead with authority but embrace our relaxed, results-driven culture
  • Foster trust and communication across all departments

Vendor, Client & Partner Coordination

  • Ensure seamless execution and communication with architects, installers, and design partners
  • Troubleshoot operational delays to ensure project timelines are met

  • CEO can fully focus on growth and strategy without needing to micromanage operations
  • Operations are streamlined, documented, and scalable
  • Software tools and reporting systems are fully built and aligned with goals
  • Financial clarity exists across all departments
  • The company runs smoothly and logically
  • Teams are aligned, accountable, and empowered

IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE:

  • Mature business judgment and leadership presence
  • Has experience running a company or leading divisions in construction, industrial, or architectural manufacturing
  • Background in accounting or finance; fluent in cost controls, forecasting, and reporting
  • Builder at heartloves creating systems and processes from scratch
  • Hands-on leadership style, collaborative, grounded, and humble
  • Comfortable in a relaxed, fast-moving, and often ambiguous environment
  • Excellent with tools like QuickBooks, SOS Inventory, Fathom, and more.
  • Bachelors degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Operations, or Engineering (MBA preferred)
  • 10+ years of executive experience in operations, preferably in construction or manufacturing
  • Proven ability to create and implement systems from a blank slate
  • Strong team management and leadership abilities
  • Clear communicator who respects chain of command
  • Full-time onsite in Dallas, TX

SCHEDULE:

  • MondayFriday onsite at our HQ in Dallas, TX
  • Must be flexible around key project timelines
  • 125k-150k based on exp + performance bonuses
