Door-to-Door Canvasser Role
The Door-to-Door Canvasser will be responsible for soliciting (e.g., with door-to-door sales), identifying leads, generating, and scheduling enrollments to install thermostats through pre-approved scripts and documentation provided by Duke Energy, at small business premises in a specific service area or areas. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to engage with people from diverse backgrounds. This role is vital in expanding our customer base and increasing awareness of our offerings. Job Duties and Responsibilities
Conduct door-to-door sales, visiting small commercial areas to engage with potential customers, present product/service offerings, and persuade them to sign up for programs. Maintain a thorough understanding of the program to effectively communicate benefits and features to potential customers. Build rapport with potential customers, answer questions, address concerns, and provide detailed information to ensure a positive customer experience. Identify and document potential leads, follow up on inquiries, and schedule appointments for further consultations or installations. Input daily sales activities, customer feedback, and HVAC penetration data. Work closely with management teams to develop effective strategies and improve sales techniques. Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and ethical standards while representing the company in the field. Required Skills and Experience
Excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to engage customers. Friendly, approachable, and able to build rapport quickly with diverse individuals. Highly motivated and target-driven with a proven track record in meeting or exceeding sales goals. Preferred Skills and Experience
Previous experience in sales, customer service, or canvassing is preferred but not required. This is a safety-sensitive role.
