Position Overview: The Junior Compositor works closely with experienced compositors to create high-quality visual effects shots for ReelShort Mobisode Series. Our pipeline differs from traditional VFX pipelines. The ideal candidate will have attention to detail, be flexible with fast turnarounds, and eager to learn.
Responsibilities:
Creating Visual Effects:
Assist compositors in creating composite shots by integrating live-action footage, CG renders, and visual effects elements using compositing software (e.g., Nuke, After Effects).
Follow artistic direction from VFX Supervisor and senior compositors to achieve desired visual effects and storytelling goals.
Shadow compositors in designing and creating visual effects for the project.
Manage personal workflow and deadlines to ensure timely delivery of VFX elements.
Motion Graphic Design:
Assist in designing and creating motion graphic elements that adhere to the show's aesthetic style.
Technical Support:
Stay updated with latest developments in visual effects technology and techniques.
Troubleshoot technical issues in the compositing workflow.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in film, animation, visual effects, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and willingness to learn.
Understanding of color theory, lighting, perspective, and composition.
Ability to take direction and collaborate effectively with the VFX team.
Passion for visual effects and career growth in the VFX industry.
Skill in Motion Graphic and Graphic Design is a plus.
Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
Legal eligibility to work in the U.S.
Fluent in English and Mandarin.
Benefits: This is a monthly contractor role with a compensation range of $3,000 to $3,500 per month.
