We are excited to invite skilled independent contractors for mobile phlebotomy services. This role involves collecting samples in patients' homes or workplaces through nasal swabs or venipuncture, specifically for blood-based tests that reveal individualized insights about tumor biology. COVID-19 testing will only be performed on asymptomatic individuals or those who have recovered from the illness. Comprehensive virtual training on all sample types and kits will be provided. NOTE:
This is a contract position with payment issued within 30 days of invoice submission. EQUIPMENT:
All necessary kits and draw supplies (needles, tourniquets, tubes, etc.) will be provided. Reliable transportation is essential, as sample collection occurs at the patient's location. Contractors must supply their own gloves and sharps containers and have access to a proper disposal service. Additionally, access to a smartphone, computer/laptop, and printer for managing orders and documentation is required, along with a secure process for handling and destroying Protected Health Information (PHI). RESPONSIBILITIES: Contact each patient within 24 hours of assignment. Promptly schedule appointments (1 to 3 days). Maintain communication with the office regarding scheduling and patient concerns. Adhere strictly to specimen collection procedures to ensure accurate testing. Ensure same-day packaging and shipment of samples using FedEx materials provided by the company. Submit invoices for draws in a timely manner for payment. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Exceptional phlebotomy skills, particularly venipuncture. At least 1 full year of phlebotomy experience within the last 3 calendar years. Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with clients and report issues. Provide respectful and compassionate care to patients undergoing treatment or dealing with illness. Ability to follow established procedures and demonstrate sound judgement. Organizational skills for patient contact and scheduling, as well as communication with the office. Excellent time management skills to ensure timely draws. Technical proficiency in using electronic communication tools like printing, scanning, and uploading.
