The Opportunity Storytelling Partners is seeking an experienced
Freelance Video Producer
to lead the end-to-end production of short video content that distills complex subject matter into relatable, high-impact stories. This contract role is ideal for someone who thrives on translating technical concepts into impactful, accessible content. Key Responsibilities Lead creative development, scripting, and production of short videos (1-3 minutes) that align with the client’s brand, objectives, and overall PR strategy. Conduct interviews and gather footage to capture authentic voices and experiences. Edit video content for clarity, pacing, and storytelling impact across digital and social platforms. Collaborate closely with the PR team to align messaging with strategic goals. Manage production timelines, assets, and feedback loops efficiently. Must Haves Proven experience producing short-form video content, ideally for PR, corporate communications, or brand storytelling. Exceptional storytelling ability, with a talent for simplifying complex topics and creating emotionally resonant narratives. Proficiency with video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar). Strong interviewing and on-camera direction skills. Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and communicate clearly with distributed teams. Nice to Haves Background as a multimedia journalist or experience working in a newsroom environment. Familiarity with vertical video formats and platform-specific best practices. Experience producing B2B content in highly regulated or technical industries. Based in or near the Washington, DC/Baltimore area for occasional on-site filming (preferred, but not required).
