The Opportunity We're seeking an exceptional Electrical Systems Engineer to architect and lead the development of our electrical power architecture. You'll work across hardware, firmware, and systems integration, solving complex challenges that have profound implications for the future of commercial spaceflight. Work alongside experts from leading aerospace companies and research institutions, building technology that will reshape humanity's access to space The Role You'll lead the electrical systems design of our reusable satellite platform, including: Architecting power management and avionics for spacecraft Working with vendors to select commercially available subsystems, develop custom components and qualify novel electronics Developing embedded firmware for power systems Creating radiation-hardened or tolerant circuit designs for short and long duration space operation Leading power system design reviews and trade studies for power architectures and components Collaborating with mechanical and thermal teams to ensure system-level performance Required Qualifications BS in Electrical Engineering or comparable field 8+ years of relevant engineering experience, with significant focus on spacecraft power electronics Proven track record designing, qualifying and operating space-rated electronics through successful missions Strong understanding of embedded systems design including hardware and firmware development Experience with PCBA design and manufacturing for high-reliability applications Expertise in power systems and power electronics Demonstrated ability to excel in dynamic, high-stakes engineering environments Desired Experience MS in Electrical Engineering Direct experience with radiation-hardened or tolerant electronics design Background in FPGA development and digital design Familiarity with SMC-S-016, EEE-INST-002, or comparable, and other industry standards for space electronics Early-stage startup experience We are based in Denver, CO and believe in the power of in-person collaboration. We are onsite 5 days/week by default, but flexible when life requires it.
