We Make It Work. Job Description As a Senior Formwork Designer at Doka USA, you will play a pivotal role in the design and development of formwork systems for construction projects. Leveraging your expertise in formwork design principles, structural engineering, and CAD software, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver efficient and cost-effective formwork solutions that meet project requirements and exceed client expectations. This role will be based in our Channahon, IL branch and will report to the Engineering Manager. Responsibilities Lead the design and development of formwork systems for various construction projects, including commercial, residential, and industrial structures. Conduct structural analysis to ensure design safety and integrity, considering load capacity, stability, and material specifications. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to understand and meet project requirements. Create detailed formwork drawings, plans, and schematics using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit), ensuring compliance with standards and regulations. Provide technical guidance to junior team members, fostering a collaborative environment. Stay updated on industry trends, technology advancements, and regulations, integrating best practices into design processes. Participate in project meetings, reviews, and presentations, communicating effectively with stakeholders. Contribute to process improvements to optimize design efficiency and quality. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related field. Proven experience in formwork design within the construction industry. Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD and Revit. Strong knowledge of formwork principles, structural analysis, and building codes. Excellent problem-solving, attention to detail, and innovative thinking. Effective communication and teamwork skills. Experience in project management or leadership is preferred.
