Dental Assistant and Receptionist (Flexible Role)

Position Overview
Join our compassionate and adaptable team as a Dental Assistant and Receptionist in a dynamic float position! At Newnan Perio & Implants, you will provide chairside support during treatments, deliver exceptional patient care, and assist with front office tasks as needed. This role is perfect for those who enjoy a varied workday while collaborating with a dedicated team.
Schedule:
Part Time, Tuesday and Friday from 7:30 AM to 3:00 PM, Thursday from 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM (with occasional Wednesdays from 7:30 AM to 3:00 PM). Key Responsibilities Assist providers chairside, including tasks like charting, patient education, and operatory preparation. Create a positive patient experience at every stage of their visit. Take and process X-rays efficiently. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation. Follow sterilization protocols for equipment and treatment areas. Welcome patients warmly, educating them on oral health and post-treatment care. Adhere to infection control standards and maintain patient confidentiality. Manage appointment scheduling and provider calendars. Respond to patient inquiries via phone and ensure effective communication. Verify insurance coverage and obtain necessary pre-authorizations. Process payments, handle billing inquiries, and keep accurate financial records. Assist in coordinating patient flow and provide administrative support as needed. Be flexible and open to additional responsibilities as they arise. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Dental Assistant. Minimum of 1 year of experience in a Dental Receptionist role. Preferred Skills Strong communication abilities and a collaborative mindset. Highly organized and dependable in a clinical setting. Completion of a Dental Assisting program or certification is preferred based on state regulations. Radiology certification is preferred based on state regulations.
