Responsible for providing strategic direction in the maintenance workload, resources, and activities for terminal and/or hangar operations at their station.

This job has overall responsibility in meeting/exceeding the station’s key performance indicators including safety, compliance, financial & operational performance goals.

This job also maintains a proactive work environment through strong communication and consistent leadership both internally with customers & support groups and externally with regulatory authorities & vendors.

What you'll do Guides and directs terminal and/or hangar management in the planning and execution of aircraft maintenance

Oversees terminal and/or hangar managers/supervisors to implement the organization's plans, processes, policies, and procedures

Collaborates with other Station/Base Managers to accomplish new directives and objectives

Works cross-departmentally to resolve issues and develops effective relationships in providing solutions

Accomplishes current and long range goals and objectives in accordance with company policies and procedures

Analyzes and reports on operating results versus goals and takes actions to correct unsatisfactory results

Reviews performance data with staff on a regular basis and drives “Action Items” with team members

Identifies training and development needs of staff throughout his/her organization and implements targeted developmental plans

Manages the organizational structure for his/her operation, to ensure adequate management for the operation

Prepares the short-term and long-range plans and resource budgets based on Sr. Management’s station goals and strategic objectives

Establishes current and long range goals, objectives and resource forecasts for their station(s)

Oversees “Bid Process” and ensures that bid schedules match workload demand

Represents the station and his/her work groups, as appropriate, with airport management, FAA,TSA, other government agencies and suppliers

Manages union and non-union workforce effectively

Provides leadership development and succession plans for key positions in his/her area of responsibility

Some travel is required

Willing to occasionally work rotating shifts, nights and weekends

All you'll need for success Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience High School diploma or GED equivalency

7 years of aircraft maintenance or equivalent management experience

Experience managing, supervising and/or directing mid to large size supervisor workgroups in a multi-shift environment, experience managing, supervising and/or directing mid to large size supervisor workgroups in a multi-shift environment

Experience in budgetary functions, resource forecasting and management of maintenance workload planning

Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience Bachelor’s degree in business or technical field or equivalent work experience

7 years of experience managing large transport category aircraft in Line and/or Base production operations with a proven track record

Skills, Licenses & Certifications FAA Airframe & PowerPlant Certificate

Knowledge of Microsoft Office to include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.

Ability to handle multiple projects at one time

Ability to coach a management team in meeting/exceeding their stations’ key performance indicators & operational performance goals

Strong interpersonal, communication, and PC skills

Ability to concurrently manage multiple areas of responsibility

Must pass FAA criminal background checks to qualify for unescorted access privileges to airport security identification display areas (SID)

Must be able to secure appropriate airport authority and/or US Customs security badges, if applicable
